Growing up in Tarrazú meant growing up surrounded by coffee. My earliest memories are filled with mountain mornings, coffee trees stretching across the hillsides, long harvest days, and a family whose life has always been deeply connected to the land.
For us, coffee has never been just another crop. It has always been part of our family, our traditions, and the way we connect with one another. Every harvest represents months of dedication, patience, and care—values that have been passed down through generations and continue to shape who we are today.
Long before Aviadora Coffee existed, these mountains taught me that exceptional coffee begins long before it reaches a cup. It begins with people who care deeply about every step of the journey.

A LEGACY FOUR GENERATIONS STRONG
For over four generations, our family has cultivated coffee in the mountains of Tarrazú, Costa Rica. What began with resilience and hope has grown into a legacy of craftsmanship, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional coffee.

After the devastating cholera pandemic in Costa Rica, Rafael and Emilia settled in Tarrazú in search of a new beginning. Through determination and years of hard work, they laid the foundation for what would become our family's coffee legacy.
Eli Montero continued building on that foundation with the same passion and dedication. His commitment to quality and respect for the land helped shape the values that continue to define our family today.
Carlos expanded the family's vision by embracing innovation while preserving traditional farming practices. Under his leadership, the farm continued producing coffees recognized for their remarkable quality and character.
Today, the fourth generation proudly continues the family's work. Together, we honor the traditions of those who came before us while exploring new varieties, experimental processes, and sharing our coffee with the world through Aviadora Coffee.

Aviadora Coffee was born from the desire to honor both parts of my life.
I wanted to continue my family's coffee legacy while staying connected to the world of aviation that had become such an important part of who I am. Rather than choosing between the two, I created a brand where they could exist together.
Every early morning flight, every sunrise above the clouds, and every quiet cup of coffee before takeoff became part of the inspiration behind Aviadora.

Where Heritage Meets Horizon
Some people choose between their passions. I chose to bring mine together.
There came a moment when I realized I didn't have to leave one dream behind to pursue another.
Coffee had always been part of who I was. It taught me patience, discipline, and respect for every step of the journey. Aviation taught me precision, curiosity, and the courage to look beyond the horizon.
Although they seem like different worlds, they share the same values—and together, they became the foundation of Aviadora Coffee.
Aviadora is more than a coffee company.
It is a bridge between our family farm in Tarrazú and people who value craftsmanship, authenticity, and the stories behind every cup.
Every bag we roast carries generations of knowledge, the precision inspired by aviation, and a commitment to sharing specialty coffee at its very best.
CHAPTER 05
For four generations, our family has cared for these mountains, cultivated every harvest with intention, and dedicated countless hours to producing coffees that truly reflect the character of Tarrazú.
Today, Aviadora Coffee allows us to share that legacy beyond our farm. Every bag is roasted fresh, prepared with care, and crafted to honor the work of everyone who made it possible long before it reached your hands.
More than sharing exceptional coffee, our hope is to create a connection—between our family and yours, between the people who grow coffee and the people who enjoy it, and between every journey that begins with a simple cup.
