Every journey has an origin. Mine began in Tarrazú.
I grew up surrounded by coffee trees, early mornings, long harvest days, and a family that has dedicated generations to growing coffee. Coffee has never been just a product to us. It is our story and our identity.
A legacy four generations strong.
Every harvest reminds us of the generations who came before us and the responsibility to continue their legacy.

Rafael Montero & Emilia Picado
After the cholera pandemic in Costa Rica, they found hope in the mountains of Tarrazú. Their hard work became the foundation of our family's coffee legacy.

Second generation
Eli Montero
He carried the legacy forward, and always picked me up from school in his work clothes after a long day in the fields. He taught me that coffee is about family.

My dad's passion and hard work helped our farm grow while staying true to its values. He is my biggest inspiration.

We honor those who came before us while exploring new varieties and processes, through Don Eli Coffee and now Aviadora Coffee.
One passion gave me roots. The other gave me wings.
Long before Aviadora existed, coffee helped me become a pilot. The work from our family farm paid for my pilot training and made my aviation career possible.
I created Aviadora Coffee to continue my family's legacy while staying connected to the coffee world that raised me. Early mornings, long flights, and brewing a cup before takeoff became the inspiration behind this brand.

Where heritage meets horizon.
Coffee taught me patience, discipline, and respect for every step of the journey. Aviation taught me precision, curiosity, and the courage to look beyond the horizon. Together they became the foundation of Aviadora Coffee.
My dad is a coffee producer in Costa Rica. Years ago, he started his own coffee company, building something through years of hard work, dedication, and passion. It is something I have always admired and am incredibly proud of.
I wanted to share this little film to give you a glimpse into the world of specialty coffee, the people behind it, and everything that goes into producing a great cup.
